Moevenpick Hotel Doha

Convenience of location for what I had to do.

Too many hidden charges; poor value for money; overpriced food; staff always offered the most expensive option (eg car to airport; "non availability" of taxis which meant having to take a hotel car;) not offering alternatives unless pressed by me (ie shuttle service at half the price); really poor internet connection with exorbitant charges for wifi and an outmoded form of connectivity. Overall, I left with a sense of having been slightly cheated. Unfortunate! I would only recommend it for the convenience of its location for the Islamic Art Museum.

Location: the hotel was next to Souq Waqif, the Museum of Islamic Art, the Corniche and a short taxi to West Bay. Booked a room with exceptional views of the Doha skyline. The breakfast was freshly prepared, the check in was smooth...

The staff we met were not very friendly.

I thought the selection of television channels to be fantastic! German-speaking and Arabic-speaking channels. Niiiice. Also, the water pressure for the shower is the best I've ever experienced.

The price is a bit much for me, especially when I'm using the hotel as an overnight for a lengthy airport layover.

The location is ideal for exploring local attractions.

Lack of shaded parking means vehicles sit under the harsh sun.

breakfast was of a poor standard in comparison to other hotels of similar standard. It was also disappointing shuttle service from airport was not free despite being advertised as so on web site.

Excellent and beautiful location to an old outdoor market. Very impressed with double room and outstandingly accommodating staff from reception to housekeeping to the concierge and management.

The room was spacious with a stunning sea view, and the breakfast buffet was absolutely delicious. Housekeeping was prompt.

Breakfast was very tasty and delicious, greatly enjoyed the position.

This property was fairly clean and magnificent. We booked a twin room, it was complete with single beds and really good value for money. The service was exceptional, including an efficient check-in. Moreover, we could park the car nearby.

I have used the Ramada hotel for over 17 years, because I could not get a booking at the Ramada I checked around Doha and decided to book the Movenpick. My choice was a good one as from the very start when checking in to checking out was a a very nice experience, now I have been converted to using the Movenpick Corniche as my 1st choice, well done to all the staff, you made my stay a memorable one.

The excellent facilities on offer inside are not extended to the external fabric

We had a spacious Beautiful King Room with a lovely view. The staff was friendly, always ready to assist with our kids. The breakfast spread was good, offering plenty of choices for everyone.

In my wife's opinion, the pool could have more shade for kids.
